We are asking for your help in sharing the attached Public Meeting advertisement with your communities. Below includes the details for your reference as well as links to the social media posts regarding the meeting.

The meeting will be held as follows:

Date:                Wednesday, March 12, 2025
Location:           Green Tree Municipal Center, Sycamore Room

                       10 West Manilla Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15220

The purpose of the project is to improve operations and mobility within and near the I-376 Green Tree interchange (Exit 67) thereby improving congestion, safety, and connectivity. The project will look to address the following:

•                Reconfiguration of the interchange ramps at Green Tree

•                Realignment and widening of Greentree Road (Route 121) and Mansfield Avenue

•                Widening of Poplar Street

•                Replacement of the structure carrying Greentree Road over I-376 (Parkway West)

•                Widening of the structure carrying I-376 (Parkway West) over Poplar Street

•                Extending the third lane on westbound/outbound I-376 (Parkway West)

The project is anticipated to begin construction in 2029.

Public awareness throughout the design process is very important to the success of this project. The project team will be available to answers questions and gather feedback from residents, community groups, and Parkway West users regarding the project.

Due to heavier volume, collection is more frequent in the fall. Public works has a standard route that they follow. Frequency of collection depends on the volume of leaves and the timing of other borough projects. Please make sure to rake your leaves into a row along the edge of the road surface so they can be reached with the leaf vacuum. Do not pile leaves on gravel or in ditches. Do not include grass clippings. Leaf piles that include rocks, gravel, sticks, and/or branches damage the vacuum and will not be collected.

Wednesday July 3rd – 6:00 – Adult party at the Community Center. The Humus Pittsburgh Food truck will be here. The Community Club will provide alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.
This is an event for the adults since most of the activities on the 4th are for the kids.

Thursday July 4th 

  • 10:00 Parade on Puritan Road – Theme is Christmas.in July. Everyone is encouraged to walk. 
  • 10:15 or after the parade – Rides in the fire truck, face painting, photo booth. hot dogs, chips, popcorn, sno cones and drinks.
  • 10:45 Pickleball tournament for people who registered in advance
  • 1:00 – Field Games at the Soccer field followed by the slip n slide – don’t forget to bring a towel.
  • 3:30 Pool Games
  • 6:00 Picnic in Parrish Park. Please bring a side or dessert to share. If you are bringing a large group, please bring a larger side. Water, soda and juice boxes will be available.
]]> Valley Waste is the new trash collector https://rosslynfarmspa.gov/news/2024/07/valley-waste-is-the-new-trash-collector/ Mon, 01 Jul 2024 17:04:32 +0000 https://5bcefe3dfa.nxcli.io/?p=786 Effective July 1, Valley Waste is the new garbage and recycling collector for the Rosslyn Farms. Garbage will still be collected weekly every Friday, and recycling collection will remain every second Friday. (Note that recycling pickup will be the opposite week from what it was previously, beginning July 12 and occurring every 2nd week thereafter.)
