Leaf Collection underway

Leaves are collected year round, weather permitting. Due to heavier volume, collection is more frequent in the fall. Public works has a standard route that they follow. Frequency of collection depends on the volume of leaves and the timing of other borough projects. Please make sure to rake your leaves into a row along the edge of the road surface so they can be reached with the leaf vacuum. Do not pile leaves on gravel or in ditches. Do not include grass clippings. Leaf piles that include rocks, gravel, sticks, and/or branches damage the vacuum and will not be collected.
